We really try never to go to the same restaurant twice, because there are so many in Sarasota. But, we would absolutely come back to Amore by Andrea. To start off, the service was outstanding. Not only our waitress, but everyone that we dealt with. Our waitress, Monica, however, was wonderful. She gave us enough time and space for everything, but never too much. The food, was delectable. We had many things, some of which included, lamb meatballs, beef carpaccio, fried zucchini, just to name a few. The presentation of the food, was equally as good as the taste of the food. It was evident that they wanted you to be happy with everything, from the taste of your wine to the taste of your food. And we were happy with everything. We look forward to returning to Amore.

Visited here during recent vacation to LBK and food was fantastic. Can make reservations on opentable. Excellent live piano music and service. Would suggest the $25 early bird dining option for 3 course meal during summer season. Delicious penne ala vodka, eggplant parm, and homemade ice cream. Welcome to LBK andrea!

For people who really know and appreciate good Italian food: after many trips to Italy, we were surprised how authentic the cuisine is here, and thoughtfully prepared. Our party of six raved about the ravioli in sage butter (made from scratch), beef Carpaccio, lobster bisque, Arancini, veal Scallopine and Piccata. Also first rate service...I think our waiter was Joe Biden's brother... made it a great experience.

Attended a dinner function with my wife and friends and found this newly opened restaurant in need of a major intervention. Despite a significant amount of design and decorating, Amore's food is characterized by average to below average ingredients, prepared poorly and overpriced. Service was friendly but generally reflected an inexperienced staff. I was hoping that this newly opened restaurant was merely experiencing start up issues but the food and service was beyond a simple repair.

Our experience at Amore by Andrea was surely different than some of those that gave poor reviews. Our dinners, Osso Bucco and Chicken Rollatina were fantastic.... the presentation was creative and and eye appealing. Our waiter was more than attentive as was the additional waitstaff The views of the banyon trees made for a lovely evening. One of the best meals (if not the best) we had on the island. Well done, Andrea! We will be back next year!

By far one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Longboat Key. Fine dining. Excellently prepared Italian food and we are real Italians! Loved the roasted beet salad and the Caprese salad. Frutti di Mare was an ample portion loaded with fresh seafood. Chicken rollantini was a fabulous presentation and delicious. Lovely ambiance. Don't miss this one!

Ordered "fresh" tuna rare as the chef recommended... It tasted frozen, bland and strange. Vegetables, Brussel sprouts hard as a rock. Mediocre at best. Absolutely not worth the money. They had a live singer that made up for quality with quantity. Couldn't hear my fellow diners. It was Saturday night and the place was full, but I don't know why except the demand for tables in Sarasota is high and all restaurants are filled then. Try the Lazy Lobster... Way better and half the price.

Five of us ate here this evening. The service was excellent as were the meals. Two had mussels as an entree. The mussels were cooked in a marinara sauce and were flavorsome. The aroncini starter was excellent as well as the salads. The wines appeared to be well priced and there was an excellent selection of Italian reds. All in all, our experience was quite enjoyable and worthy of a return visit.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
